Whether you're just starting out with credit or looking to improve your credit profile, adding Authorized User (AU) tradelines can be an effective strategy. By becoming an authorized user on someone else’s established account, you can benefit from their positive credit history, which can strengthen your credit profile, increase the revolving limits on your credit reports, and enhance your overall credit file. This can be especially helpful when aiming for lower interest rates or better loan options.
It is good practice to keep your personal credit utilizations low and make timely payments—these habits are key to building a strong financial foundation. However, when you need a little extra help, AU tradelines can serve as a valuable stepping stone.
